As it gets harder and harder to find funding to move your innovation from the bench to the marketplace, SBIR grants are more important than ever. If you need some help in making SBIR funding a reality, or in perfecting your ability to compete for these awards, join us for our upcoming SBIR commercialization workshops.
SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) is a federal government program administered by 10 federal agencies for the purpose of helping to provide early-stage Research and Development funding to small technology companies or individuals who are interested in forming a company. The Federal Government will spend over $2.2 billion on SBIR and STTR awards this year.
The full-day session, “SBIR Workshop,” is chock-full of information for newcomers to SBIR/STTR. We start with a strong overview of the SBIR/STTR programs, and then we take you through a simple but comprehensive four-step process for developing a credible and competitive Phase 1 proposal. As a group, we review an actual SBIR proposal and critique it using the tools you learned during the day. This workshop is run by Jim Greenwood of Greenwood Consulting, nationally known for helping companies and entrepreneurs like you achieve success in these programs.
